Our Services
All sessions are informal and person-centered. Hourly rates vary depending on service and number of participants

1
Care and companionship
As a dementia support worker with 4+ years experience in domiciliary care I am able to provide fun and reliable social care to people who may be at risk of depression and low mood due to being isolated from the community. My main focus in all my work is quality of life and I pride myself on prioritizing the wants, needs and interests of the individual and hope to become not just a carer, but a new friend too.
2
One-to-one song therapy
I truly believe that we can be empowered through song and have had the privilege of working with amazing individuals who, despite having reduced speech function or being almost non-verbal, are still able to express themselves through music - whether by gentle humming, instrumentation or vocalized song. Family are invited to join us to open (or in many cases re-open) the door to music and see where the journey takes us

Group singalongs
Perfect for care homes, social clubs and community centres wanting a bit of music and silliness! It's time to Roll out the Barrel and get your Knees Up Mother Brown. Chattanooga choo-choo our way down to The White Cliffs of Dover, stop off to see Elvis, Bing or Nat King Cole and finsh off with a croaking Calon Lân. 1-2 hour session of games, chat and classic tunes. Full of laughs and cheeky jokes, all ages and abilities welcome.
About
I am passionate about quality of life and the mood-boosting power of community music making. The JollyGood Company is an idea I have had for some time, following what I believe to be my vocation: to get people singing, smiling and being silly. For a few years I was a domiciliary carer and dementia support officer, as well as volunteering for Alzheimer's Society (Singing for the Brain and Dementia Champions initiative), and would always try to incorporate singing into my care work as much as possible. I noticed a wonderful response from families who see the change in their parent or partner after we've had a good singalong and so decided to train as a complementary therapist through The Song Therapy Network (qualified 2023).
I am currently running a support and social group in Pontyclun where I continue to be inspired by our participants and friendships that blossom from week to week. We are primarily referred people living with dementia but we are a diverse and inclusive bunch, welcoming members of the community with autism as well as people living with cognitive impairment as a result of a stroke, tumor or brain damage. The aim of The JollyGood Company is to bring a bit of sunshine to anyone who needs it, and for some this may just be a need to meet people and avoid being isolated, or a need to have a laugh and forget your troubles for an hour - a need we all share.

I try wherever possible to let participants lead the way and cater sessions to people's preferences for maximum engagement, whether this be classic hymns, 50's ballads or theatre show tunes. If you know anyone who you think might benefit from a weekly home visit or from trying one of our community groups please do encourage them to get in touch using contact info below to arrange a FREE taster-session.

Thanks so much for reading and looking forward to hearing from you,
